Dr Tanja Schuster is a research fellow with a joint position between the School of Botany and the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. She studied at City University of New York, and Wake Forest University, and previously worked as herbarium curator at the University of Maryland. Her research is focussed on angiosperm systematics, especially the plant family Polygonaceae. [See example papers here, and here]
